On August 30-31, a provincial-level exercise was held in the Stalowa Wola district, in which the State Fire Service carried out selected flood response activities.

A COLLARIS workshop examined the use of drones and other UAS (unmanned aerial systems) in disaster response including its benefits but also existing and future obstacles and challenges. The workshop’s overall conclusion was: Once we have solved the problems, we have a bright future when using all these systems, giving us a more effective and correct situational overview.

We kindly invite to take part in a quick response survey with the goal to get an overview of currently used auxiliary support systems for UAS (unmanned aerial systems) in civil protection and disaster response. Auxiliary support systems can be different sensors or other equipment attached to a UAS.

This CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) aims to cover standardisation gaps of the evaluation phase and lessons learnt documentation of an exercise of crisis management. The CWA was elaborated by an international group of experts, including several members of DRIVER+ project consortium (CIK CBK, SGSP and ITTI from Poland). It takes into due account the experiences and results of this project, especially the Trial Guidance Methodology (TGM). All interested crisis management practitioners are invited to comment on the document by the end of April.

Representatives of civil protection authorities at all levels, first responders, crisis management practitioners, and researchers interested in issues related to further development and operational use of UAS in their activities are cordially invited to join the COLLARIS Network initiatives – a new project coordinated by Crisis Information Centre CBK PAN under the Union Civil Protection Knowledge Network.

BALTinnoSEC’s aim is to investigate the feasibility of an interface, connecting civil security actors in constellations, focused on tackling risks specific to Baltic Sea Region. The interface is envisioned as a problem-solving platform for regular off- & online meetings of practitioners, researchers and businesses, thus sharing access to the latest management solutions and technologies, cutting costs and time for all involved.

Poster presented during SESAR Innovation Days 2022, hosted by HungaroControl at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in Budapest. The event was focused on the Inspiring long-term research in the field of air traffic management. The team from PANSA supported by SRC PAS prepared the poster "Supporting the coordination of unmanned and manned air operations in emergency management".
