Workshop with the Jura Group of the Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue
The workshop consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical. During the first part, CIK specialist presented the possibilities of using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles during exploration activities. Practical exercises were an opportunity to verify the assumptions related to the application of mentioned technology as well as the effects of the training organized for the Jura Group of the Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue by CIK on 8-9 August 2019 which was focused on Geographical Information Systems, satellite images and other spatial data.
As part of the MCS activation, the CIK team prepared visualization of the training area, among others, through the development of situational maps (including orthophotomaps) and 3D models. There were also direct transmissions of the image recorded by the unmanned aerial vehicle.
The participants of the event, apart from the Rescuers of the Jurassic Group, were the Voluntary Fire Brigades of Szczekociny, Pradło and Ogrodzieniec.
The training for Jura Group of the Mountain Volunteer Search and Rescue was implemented as part of the project "Operating system for gathering, sharing and promotion of digital information about the environment - Sat4Envi”.
