An interesting map from the Emergency Response Coordination Center (ERCC)
The ERCC platform collects information and warnings about crisis events from various sources (ECHO Flash) as well as numerous maps assisting the preparation of operational action plans, supporting the decision-making process or helping to analyze statistical data in areas affected by the crisis (Daily Maps and Situation Maps).
Today's map shows the spatial distribution of floods in Europe over the years 2006-2016. The map also includes a number of statistics such as the total number of floods in 2006-2016, the number of victims, the estimated number of economic losses, and the number of UCPM (Union Civil Protection Mechanism) activations. In addition, the charts show the number of floods per country and the total number of floods in each of the years 2006-2016.
