III Scientific Conference "Selected Aspects of the Use of Combat Aviation"

On 8 December 2016, III Scientific Conference "Selected Aspects of Use of Combat Aviation" took place at the Polish Air Force Academy in Dęblin. The focus of the conference was on the use of aviation in times of peace, crisis and during war.

During the meeting, several issues were discussed, among others: management of the Polish air space, maritime aviation in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, air surveillance of Polish maritime areas, tactical aviation and unmanned aerial systems in the Ukrainian-Russian conflict, importance of military aviation operations in helping victims of large-scale disasters, and the Polish attendance in the military aviation in the Middle East.

Representatives of the Crisis Information Centre conducted two lectures. The first was related to the use of satellite and aerial imagery in crisis management and rescue operations. Then CIK team discussed the potential of command-and-drill exercises as an instrument for developing civil-military cooperation for crisis management.
